Cappelleria Bertacchi is managed by the Bertacchi family of Siena (Italy).

The Bertacchi family traces its roots in Tuscany to the sixth century. The family motto “oportuna quaero”, Latin for “find luck”, embodies our tradition and our values. Three generations ago, our grandfather used his remarkable craftsmanship and started making hats in Siena, in the heart of Tuscany. Our region has been the undisputed world leader in the production of fine hats for centuries.

Our grandfather handed down skills and techniques from generation to generation and our family opened the first Bottega in Siena. In 2014 we expanded our business and opened another shop in Lucca.
The following year we opened our first North American office in Vancouver, Canada.

Our hat designs are inspired by classic Italian pieces from the 1940s and 1950s, as well as creating innovative and unique items.

We have grown our business while remaining faithful to the tradition of Tuscan artisans: we use only high quality natural products and fabrics (straw, felt, merino wool) carefully spun and woven by skilled craftsmen in our ateliers in Tuscany.

We have also expanded our selection to offer
some other Italian handmade products. We have a curated collection of handcrafted ties, bow ties and clutches, as well as scarves, sunglasses, soaps and umbrellas, all designed and produced in Italy.

We offer complete cleaning, repair and alteration services for all types of hats. Our creativity gives its best when we design, together with our customers, tailor-made creations: unique pieces such as fascinators or hats that perfectly complement your outfits.
